Cross Country Skiing
The Bitterroot Cross-Country Ski Club maintains a huge network of classic and skate skiing trails known as the Chief Joseph Trail System.
Chief Joseph Pass Trail System
| Nearly across the road from Lost Trail Ski Area along the Continental Divide at the southern end of the Bitterroot Valley. A variety of trails are regularly groomed for classic cross country skiing. A cozy log cabin is available for skiers to enjoy lunch or to warm up just up the trail a short distance. You don`t have to be a member to ski the Chief Joseph Trails, but members help pay for the grooming of all ski trails. Donations are encouraged. Elevation 7,251′ |
